Principal River Basins are defined as those with at least 40 square kilometers of drainage area (NWRC, 1976). The Cluster 3 is composed of five (5) principal river basins in the island of Mindoro. These includes Alag-Baco River Basin, Butas River Basin, Catuiran- Bucayao River Basin, Mag-asawang Tubig River Basin and Pula River Basin. All the river basins in Cluster 3 drain along the Verde Island Passage and Tablas Strait located at the northeast of Mindoro Island (Table 1). Table 1 and Table 2 show the geographic location of these river basins.

VISION

“The Cluster 3 River Basin is envisioned to be a rich and abundant watershed that continues to care for its biodiversity for the present and future generations.”

MISSION

“To participate in the genuine development and responsible use of watershed resources.”
